The Challenge: Synchronization
Here is a critical fact: No two standard DC motors run at exactly the same speed. If you put two standard actuators on a roof, one will move faster than the other, causing the roof to twist and jam.
The Solution: We use actuators with built-in Hall Sensors and a specialized Synchronous Controller. This computer monitors the speed of each unit and adjusts them in real-time to keep them perfectly level.
Option 1: The LINACT-J Range (Light/Medium Duty)
Our most popular choice for standard caravans and trailers. We offer these in sets of 2 or 4.
Vertical Roof Lifts (Set of 4)

Support is Key: Prior to installing Linear Actuators, it is crucial to have a proper support system (telescopic guides or scissors) in place. Actuators are designed to push and pull—they are NOT designed to handle side-loads or hold the roof stable in the wind. Neglecting to provide adequate support can lead to bent shafts and unit failure.
